The Justice Over Everything: Making Appropriate Choices (JoeMac) committee expects to hear next week whether convicted killers Clinton Suzack and Peter Pennett will be returned to maximum security jails.
They execucted Const. Joe MacDonald nine years ago.
It?s expected this week solicitor general Lawrence MacAuley will advise the group in writing about decisions pertaining to JoeMac?s wish list.
In addition to moving Suzack and Pennett out of medium security, JoeMac is also asking for a thorough review of what it calls Correctional Service Canada?s practice of ?cascading? prisoners through the prison system, ultimately clearing the way for quicker and premature release.
JoeMac members personally presented their requests to the solicitor general during a meeting in the minister?s Ottawa office earlier this year.
