A Blind River lawyer has been arrested and charged with four counts of theft over $5,000 and four counts of breach of trust after a two-year police investigation allege he had bilked four clients of $1 million over a three year period.

The investigation involved forensic examination of thousands of documents and numerous interviews.

Marcel Gagnon, 55, was arrested in Sault Ste. Marie after turning himself in. He was released on bail.
