Nothing in life is free, especially when dealing with $1,300 worth of groceries.
On Oct. 23 at approximately 1:30 p.m., a 45-year-old man attempted to walk out of a local grocery store with 109 items in his cart.
The cart held a variety of meat and cheese items, as well as other miscellaneous items.
The total value was approximately $1,300.00. The male attempted to leave the store without paying when he was apprehended by store security.
Members of the Greater Sudbury Police were called and the accused was transported to Police Headquarters where he remains, as he has had a similar issue in another jurisdiction that he has left unresolved. It is believed he will be appearing in Bail Court on Oct. 26, according to a police release.
