A 20-year-old man is in police custody following a short crime spree this week.

On June 23 around 11:30 a.m., Patrick Albert, 20, entered an Antwerp Street residence, brandishing a tire iron. Albert was known to the occupants, however, he demanded money and threatened to kill them. The occupants, fearing for their safety, provided the young man with an undisclosed amount of cash, as well as an X-Box gaming system and game. Albert fled on foot and no one was injured.

Two days later, around 2 a.m., the same man attended an Albinson Street address, where he had a dispute with the known male occupant. Albert produced a knife and stabbed the other male in the leg before fleeing the scene. The victim's injury was non-life-threatening.

With the assistance of the public, police located Albert in the Frood Road area and he was arrested and charged with robbery, utter death threats, carrying a concealed weapon and weapons dangerous for June 23. For his actions on June 25, he was charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon, and three counts of breach of recognizance.

Greater Sudbury Police would like to thank the public for their assistance in this matter.
