Man suspected of accosting Lasalle student

Greater Sudbury Police are looking for a man in his late 30's to early 40's, accused of accosting a female Lasalle Secondary School student Wednesday Oct. 11 at 8:15 am as she walked to school on Kennedy St.

Greater Sudbury Police are looking for a man in his late 30's to early 40's, accused of accosting a female Lasalle Secondary School student Wednesday Oct. 11 at 8:15 am as she walked to school on Kennedy St.

As the girl was walking, the man drove by, then turned around and began speaking to her. He told her to get into the car. When she refused, he grabbed her hand and jacket. The girl was able to pull away and run to safety.

The man is described as having a moustache, a trimmed goatee and approximately neck length shaggy brown hair. The suspect was wearing a black sweater with a white hooded shirt underneath it and was driving a late 90's model, four-door, forest-green car with no tint on the windows and rusted rims.

Police are asking anyone with information in relation to the incident or may have seen the suspect to call police at 675-9171 or Crime Stoppers at 675-TIPS.
