Greater Sudbury Police responded to a break and enter on Melvin St. Sunday morning when an elderly man woke up to find an intruder in his house.
Police say the suspect broke the basement window to gain access to the house and fled when the homeowner threatened to call police.
Performing a canine search, police were led to another Melvin St. residence that had also been broken into. Police arrested one person on scene.
The 25-year-old suspect faces two counts of break and enter with intent and two counts of breach of probation.
