Greater Sudbury Police has added a Historical Missing Persons
page to its website and lists nine missing persons from the Sudbury
area dating back to 1974.
Pictures and information about these people can be viewed at
www.police.sudbury.on.ca.
Family members were contacted for permission to list them on the website as well as the Doe Network, an Internet-based organization that is dedicated to resolving cold cases ( www.doenetwork.us).
Missing people listed are:
- Roger Paul Bertrand of Hanmer, born 1957, last seen
Nov. 11, 1999;
- Stacy Lucien Dilenardi, born 1975, last seen on the
Ranklin Reserve Nov. 28, 2005;
- Gerry Gascon, born 1953, hasn’t been seen
since being released from Algoma Hospital, June 1978;
- Pamela Harvey Rousseau, (born 1954), was last seen at
her Lloyd St. apartment in December 1978;
- Richard Munroe, (born 1938), was last seen at The
Friendly Restaurant on Elgin St. in October 2001;
- Patrick Ratchford, (born 1921), last seen at Lake Geneva
hitchhiking a ride to Timmins, October 1974;
- Jane Smith (born March 1955) a Laurentian University
student last seen at her apartment at 2 am Aug. 9, 1975;
- Alexander Sretenovic, (born 1967), has not been seen by
his family since Aug. 14, 1996;
- Blair Henry Yensen, (born 1944), lived on Sellwood
Avenue in Capreol and was last seen January 1992.
