OPP officers stop impaired driver on Highway 6

On Saturday March 17 at approximately 5:45 p.m., an officer from the Manitoulin-Espanola Detachment of the OPP observed a vehicle being operated in an erratic manner on Highway 6 in Assiginack Township.

The officer determined that the driver of the motor vehicle had been consuming alcohol.

As a result of the investigation, a 30-year-old Sudbury man has been charged with:

  • Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol
  • Driving With Over 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay, Ontario on April 17.
