Paintball ?wizards? put on probation

Two young men who shot paintballs at numerous pedestrians on a trip between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury were placed on probation Wednesday.
Two young men who shot paintballs at numerous pedestrians on a trip between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury were placed on probation Wednesday.

Eric Doiron, 22, and Calvin Winch, 21, both admitted to shooting paintballs at numerous people while travelling along Highway 17 during last December.

Paintballs were fired at people walking along the highway in Sault Ste. Marie, Thessalon and Blind River.

Doiron and Finch both pleaded guilty to numerous charges, including mischief, possession of a weapon and assault with a weapon.

Both men were placed on probation for two years and each was ordered to perform 100 hours of community service.

Both were prohibited from owning or possessing any firearm or prohibited weapon for 10 years.
