Pedestrian, 81, in serious but stable condition after being struck Wednesday

Collision occurred at corner of Bouchard and Regent streets

An 81-year old man remains in serious but stable condition at hospital after being struck by a vehicle at the corner of Bouchard and Regent streets around 3:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon.  

The traffic management unit remained on scene investigating and the road was finally fully reopened around 8 p.m. last night.  They're asking anyone that may have witnessed the collision or has information about it to call police.

At this point of the investigation charges have not been laid.

An older man was injured Wednesday in a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle, Greater Sudbury Police said on Twitter.

“Paramedics transporting pedestrian (older man) to hospital with unknown severity of injuries,” police said. “Uniform officers on scene. Traffic management unit officers en route to investigate.”

Traffic is moving slowly in the area of Regent and Bouchard streets, police said. 

“Avoid area if possible.”
