The OPP North West Region Crime Unit are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Longlac on Jan. 23.

At around 12:30 a.m. members of the Greenstone OPP Detachment received a report of an armed robbery from a local taxi company. 

The driver was flagged down on Otter Road by a subject wearing blue coveralls and a clown mask. The subject produced a firearm and demanded money. The driver handed over an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect fled on foot.

An investigation has been commenced by the OPP North West Region Crime Unit with assistance from the Greenstone Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU).
