There were few details regarding a fatal vehicle accident on Highway 69 S. available at Northern Life?s press deadline Thursday afternoon

The Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police had not released the name of the person killed as a result of the accident which took place at
about 10:15 am in Dill Township, about two kilometres south of Old Wanup Road.

The accident involved a Jeep Cherokee and KIA Rio.

Highway 69 was closed for most of the day and traffic was re-routed via Highway 537. It was expected to be re-open by 6 pm.

Highway 17 W. was closed for part of Wednesday following a single vehicle accident about eight kilometres west of Massey.

A husband and wife driving east on Highway 17 were seriously injured and taken to Sudbury Regional Hospital after the driver of the car lost control
and went into a ditch.

Highway 17 was opened to one lane of traffic by 5:30 pm and fully open to traffic an hour later.
