Police apprehend occupants of stolen vehicle

Three people were arrested with the help of the K-9 unit Oct. 23 after trying to out-run the police.

According to Greater Sudbury Police, while attempting to stop a grey Ford Tempo on Leslie St. at 12:55 am, the vehicle sped away eventually stopping at St. Anne's Rd. where three of the car's four occupants got out and fled the scene on foot.

Officers contained the area and were able to apprehend two of the suspects while the third was taken into custody at the vehicle.

Two boys and a girl, who can't be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act are facing a number of charges including flight from the police, possession of a stolen vehicle, impaired driving and breach of probation.
