Greater Sudbury Police say they're investigating an incident of careless driving Oct. 10 at around 6:15 pm on Bancroft Dr. at Third Ave.
According to police, an eastbound vehicle stopped at the crosswalk to allow a small girl to cross with her bicycle and approximately four other vehicles pulled in behind while the child was crossing. A GMC Sonoma then turned out and passed the five stopped cars on the right, in the bicycle lane.
Police say the child had just stepped into the crosswalk when the truck passed the other vehicles and merged back into the eastbound lane. The truck then turned onto Autumnwood Dr.
Anyone with information or who may have witnessed this incident is asked to phone police at 675-9171.
