Greater Sudbury Police are investigating a suspicious incident that happened on a trail in Chelmsford on Sept. 10 when two young children were approached by an adult.

Police said the incident happened between 6-7 p.m. in the Pilon and Montee Genereaux, specifically between Highway 144 and Montee Genereaux.

Officers with the Criminal Investigations Division attended the area on Sept. 11 and canvassed for video and witnesses. Detectives spoke with the children to get a better understanding of the circumstances.

Investigators have been made aware that  a neighborhood Facebook group has been posting information surrounding this incident. As this investigation is ongoing, and as all the information has not been properly obtained and corroborated, police are asking that any information be forwarded to the detectives assigned so the information can be properly reviewed and sourced.
