Police make large drug bust

Police say a search of the residence revealed 35 marijuana plants, 69 seedlings, as well as, 62 grams of psilocybin, commonly known as magic mushrooms, 76 grams of cannibis marijuana bud, $305 in Canadian currency, a prohibited flick knife, evidence of trafficking in controlled substances and indoor grow equipment with an estimated value of $2,500.

Two occupants of the residence, a 44-year-old man and 34-year-old woman, both from Sudbury, have been charged with one count of production of a controlled substance, two counts of possessing a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of a prohibited weapon.

Faubert has also been charged with possessing property obtained by crime.

The total value of the controlled substances seized was $38,000, say police.
