Four people have been arrested after a police pursuit along Hwy. 69 N in Sudbury Oct. 25 around 1:50 am.

A Dodge Caravan that was reported stolen Oct. 24 was spotted by Greater Sudbury Police. When the vehicle failed to stop for police, a pursuit was initiated.

Using a spike belt, police were able to blow the vans tires. The van drove down Hwy. 69 N on its rims, eventually stopping in the McRae Heights area where five occupants got out and fled the scene on foot. Within minutes, police say four of the five suspects were apprehended.

The K-9 unit was called in to track the fifth suspect but without success.

A 25-year-old man with no fixed address has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property, flight from police, dangerous driving, threatening death and breach of recognizance.

A 26-year-old Sudbury woman has also been charged with being an occupant of a stolen vehicle and breach of probation.

Two females, who fall under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, are also facing charges of being an occupant in a stolen vehicle and breach of probation.

All four people remain in custody.
