Greater Sudbury Police have released a revised description of a man believed responsible for an unprovoked knife attack near the downtown core on Lloyd Street around 8 pm Monday evening.
Greater Sudbury Police have released a revised description of a man believed responsible for an unprovoked knife attack near the downtown core on Lloyd Street around 8 pm Monday evening.

After interviewing the 19-year-old victim, who was stabbed once in the head area by an unknown stranger, police say they are looking for a Caucasian, six feet tall, in his mid-20s, who is clean shaven and with an average build.

The suspect was wearing a twotone jacket with red or orange near the collar and a lighter colour on the bottom, grey pants and a red or orange hat when he left the scene on foot.

The victim said he was walking from Minnow Lake toward downtown when he was approached by the man and stabbed once in the head.

The knife ended up being stuck in his head as the victim sought assistance.

Police say they have no motive for the crime and the suspect and the victim didn?t engage in any confrontation.

Police say no other witnesses have come forward and they would like to speak to anyone who may have information to share.
