Police search for robbery suspects

On Sunday, Nov. 20 around 9:50 am, two female visitors to Greater Sudbury were in their room at the Quality Inn on Elgin Street and the door to their room was slightly open.

On Sunday, Nov. 20 around 9:50 am, two female visitors to Greater Sudbury were in their room at the Quality Inn on Elgin Street and the door to their room was slightly open.

A male entered the room and demanded a purse from one of the women and a struggle ensued. The victim screamed and the culprit fled the scene on foot without the purse.

The victim did receive minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The male is described as being in his late teens to early 20s, standing between five-foot-four and six-feet tall, with a slim build, skinny face, brown hair, wearing a hat and a blue shirt or jacket.

Meanwhile, on Friday around 7:10 pm two males entered the Price Wise Store at 451 Notre Dame Ave. and once inside disguised their faces with items inside the store.

They approached the lone female attendant and alleged they had a gun, however, no weapon was displayed or produced and they demanded cash and cigarettes and fled the scene on foot.

Both are described as white males, both between ages 35 and 45. Both stand about five-feet-eight inches tall and each had a slim build. One of the culprits wore a grey winter jacket.

The female clerk was traumatized but did not suffer any physical injuries.
