Police search for suspect after weapons complaint

On Oct. 22 around midnight, Greater Sudbury Police responded to a weapons complaint at the Greyhound Bus Terminal on Notre Dame Ave. According to police, a male suspect approached another man offering to sell drugs.

On Oct. 22 around midnight, Greater Sudbury Police responded to a weapons complaint at the Greyhound Bus Terminal on Notre Dame Ave.

According to police, a male suspect approached another man offering to sell drugs. The suspect then brandished a handgun and a knife and demanded money from the victim, who ran away. The suspect fled the scene heading south.

Officers used the K-9 unit to track down the suspect but to no avail.

The suspect is described as a native man about five-foot-eight with bad acne and scars. He is heavy-set and was wearing a blackish/grey toque with a rim, a black winter jacket, a red shirt and red splash pants.
