Greater Sudbury Police are asking for the assistance of the public to locate an 85-year-old man who went blueberry picking near Lively this morning.

An 85-year-old man who was reported missing this afternoon has been located.

He was checked by Greater Sudbury EMS and is in good health.

Greater Sudbury Police are asking for the assistance of the public to locate an 85-year-old man who went blueberry picking near Lively this morning.

His last-known whereabouts was in the area of Highway 144 and MR 24.

"This man left to go pick blueberries this morning and had told his family that he would be home at a certain time," said GSPS spokesperson Kaitlyn Dunn. "When he didn't return or check in at that time, a family member reported it to police."

Dunn says that the man's vehicle is still at the side of the road where he parked it, but he has not been seen.

There is currently no description of the man in terms of physical characteristics or what he may be wearing.

Anyone with information or if anyone has seen an elderly man wandering in the area of Highway 144 and MR 24, they are asked to contact Greater Sudbury Police Services at 705-675-9171.
