Police seek pepper spray assailant

Officers of the Greater Sudbury Police Service were called to the Sudbury Transit Centre on Elm Street Saturday evening as a result of a male suspect pepper spraying two victims. The offender fled on foot.

Officers of the Greater Sudbury Police Service were called to the Sudbury Transit Centre on Elm Street Saturday evening as a result of a male suspect pepper spraying two victims.

The offender fled on foot. Responding officers searched the area for the offender without success.

As a result of investigation, the officers were able to determine the identity of the offender.  A warrant is being sought for the arrest of an 18-year-old Sudbury citizen, who cannot be identified. Charges include two counts of assault with a weapon, carry a concealed weapon, weapon dangerous to the public peace, unauthorized possession of a prohibited weapon, breach of probation and breach of peace bond.
