A Sudbury man convicted of being involved in a break and enter of a West End convenience store has admitted he committed another armed robbery two days before.

Jason Tolkacz, 21, was found guilty following a trial of being involved in the robbery of the West End convenience store the evening of Aug. 13. In that incident, the son of one of the store?s owners was stabbed in the back.

The Crown?s office has stated it will be seeking a significant penitentiary term in relation to that incident when Tolkacz is sentenced Dec. 21.

Justice Robert Del Frate of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice found Tolkacz guilty Sept. 27 following trial. Del Frate will impose a sentence after hearing submissions Dec. 21.

Tolkacz and his lawyer Natalie Boivin made a brief appearance in court Monday. Tolkacz will plead guilty Dec. 21 to numerous charges, including robbery, possession of a dangerous weapon (knife) and breach of probation in relation to the robbery of a New Sudbury convenience store on Aug. 11.

Tolkacz will be sentenced on that matter Jan. 4 before Justice Louise Gauthier of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.
