Search of Wahnapitae home reveals $56,000 worth of marijuana

Greater Sudbury Police and the Ontario Provincial Police found $56,000 worth of marijuana after conducting a search warrant at a residence on Dryden Road in Wahnapitae Sept. 18 at 8:30 a.m.

Police found 71 marijuana plants inside and outside the home, as well as a quantity of dried marijuana.

A 48-year-old woman was charged with possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking and production of marijuana.

She was released from custody, and is due to appear in court in November.

Police are also looking for a 50-year-old man, who is wanted on the same charges.
