Sexual assaults occur in Flour Mill

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating two sexual assaults which occurred in the same area of the Flour Mill June 27. One sexual assault occurred around Kathleen St. by Bessie, and was reported around 9:15 p.m.

Greater Sudbury Police are investigating two sexual assaults which occurred in the same area of the Flour Mill June 27.

One sexual assault occurred around Kathleen St. by Bessie, and was reported around 9:15 p.m. The second sexual assault occurred at 9:35 p.m. in the area of King St. and Clinton St. Neither victim suffered serious physical injuries.

The descriptions of the suspects in both incidents are quite similar, and the possibility they are related is being investigated. Uniform officers, forensics, K-9 and CID area all currently involved in the investigation.

Police are looking for a white male, early to late 20s, wearing dark clothing, five-foot-nine with a medium to stocky build. In both incidents, the attacker is described as having a white bandana across his face.
