William Rice of Skead scratched three Life symbols on his Cash for Life lottery ticket last week. He purchased the ticket at the Country Corner Store in Skead. Although last week's winter storm prevented Rice and his family from driving to Toronto immediately to collect his $675,000 lump sum, the Rices made the trip Monday.
Rice is a shift leader with the fire department at Sudbury Airport. His wife, Peggy, works at Sears. The Rices plan to "buy a camp, build a garage, put some money away for the kids' education," and maybe do some home renovatioms.
