Soccer field torn up by pair of pick ups

Police looking for drivers of trucks that ripped up soccer field in Onaping Falls

The Greater Sudbury Police Service and Crime Stoppers are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying suspect(s) with relation to a mischief.

It is alleged that on June 7 between 9:35 p.m. and 10 p.m. individuals in two separate trucks attended the parking lot of a school located on Main Street West in Dowling (police don't release the exact location, but the only school on Main Street in Dowling is Larchwood Public School).*

After they had visited with each other, they decided to drive on to the soccer field and do doughnuts, causing extensive damage to the field. The vehicles are described as a newer silver or grey Ford F150 crew cab and an older dark blue GMC double cab pick-up.

The estimated value of the damages is more than $1,000.

*An earlier version of this story placed the school in Onaping Falls. That has been corrected.
