Sudbury man hit by train

An 18-year-old man suffered a broken femur when he was hit by a train west of the Harry Crescent crossing near Bancroft Dr. in Sudbury. According to Greater Sudbury Police, at approximately 11:10 am Aug.

An 18-year-old man suffered a broken femur when he was hit by a train west of the Harry Crescent crossing near Bancroft Dr. in Sudbury.

According to Greater Sudbury Police, at approximately 11:10 am Aug. 31, the man was walking along the tracks when he was hit by a westbound train. He was transported to St. Joseph's Health Centre.

He has also been charged with trespassing under the Railway Safety Act.

Police are reminding residents that railway property is private property and trespassers will be prosecuted.
