Suspect arrested after weekend assault

A fifth suspect wanted in connection with an attack at 744 Bruce St. Dec. 9 in Sudbury has been arrested. According to police, a 29-year-old Sudbury man was lured into the residence when he was attacked with a steel pipe causing a large wound.

According to police, a 29-year-old Sudbury man was lured into the residence when he was attacked with a steel pipe causing a large wound. As the attack continued, the man retrieved a knife and began stabbing at his attackers to make his escape.

The man, along with one of his attackers had to be treated at the hospital. The attacker underwent abdominal surgery because of a stab wound.

Police had four suspects, including the initial victim, in custody and arrested the fifth man Dec. 12 at a residence on Notre Dame Ave.
