“Suspected human remains” were located inside a home on Cutler Lake Road in the Township of Sables-Spanish Rivers (in between Webbwood and Massey, west of Greater Sudbury) after a fire early Sunday morning.
Officers from the Manitoulin OPP, with the assistance of the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal, located suspected human remains inside the residence on Monday.
The identity of the deceased has not been confirmed. Information will be released as it becomes available.
The death is under investigation by the OPP in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner, and the Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal.
