Suspended driver caught on Highway 17

A 40-year-old person from Burlington who was driving a commercial motor vehicle on Highway 17 in Greater Sudbury has been charged with driving while under suspension and failing to properly wear a seatbelt, said provincial police.

Officers conducted a traffic stop around 9 p.m. on April 3. 

The driver’s licence was seized and the vehicle was towed at the driver’s expense. 

The driver is scheduled to appear in court on June 1.
