On Oct. 23, at approximately 1 a.m., the Greater Sudbury Police Service received a call from Vale Security in regards to a suspicious vehicle on the company’s property in the Copper Cliff area.
The investigation revealed that unknown suspect or suspects came onto the property by damaging a fence and loaded chunks of rocks containing raw copper into the van, according to a police release.
When security personnel attended the area, there was no one around.
The vehicle was towed from the scene and taken to a secure location. Investigators are in the process of identifying and locating the owner of the vehicle. The investigation continues.
