A two-week trial set to begin this week for Paul Bedard, a high school teacher accused of sexual assault, has been delayed once again.

Bedard, a St. Benedict Secondary School physical education teacher, was to go on trial in January, but the date was postponed until June. In court Tuesday, another postponement was ordered. The trial is now set to begin Sept. 27.

Bedard has been charged with sexual assault and invitation to sexual touching. The charges come from complaints filed by a female student, who was 15
at the time of the alleged offences.

Bedard was charged two years ago. He has been suspended with pay by the Sudbury Catholic District School Board.
