On July 27, a Traffic Management Unit Officer was alerted by a driver of a large commercial vehicle that a motorist in his view was texting while operating a motor vehicle.
The truck driver had a vantage point that allowed him to observe the offence in progress and provide specific details to the officer.
The driver of the car was stopped and charged for driving while holding a hand-held communications device.
The offence carries a $490 fine and three demerit points.
