Two people have been charged following a search of their residence, located on Robertson Road, near Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island.
The search warrant was conducted on June 18 by members of the Sudbury Drug Enforcement Unit and the Manitoulin OPP.
Police located 285 marijuana plants, 103 grams of marijuana and grow related equipment. Police also seized a handgun, four rifles and ammunition. The total potential street value of the substances seized was estimated at $287,260. Total value of the grow related equipment was estimated at $5,000.
Charged with various drug and weapon related offences are Robert Davy, 72, of Gore Bay and Johanna Davy, 58, of Gore Bay.
