Two male drivers in their early twenties have been charged with careless driving after being clocked at 60 km/h over the speed limit by an undercover police cruiser on Municipal Rd. 80.
Shortly before 1 pm Aug. 22, a silver two-door Saturn and a green four-door Jaguar were travelling alongside each other and were clocked going 140 km/h in a 80 km/h zone. Police say the two drivers admitted to being acquaintances and face a fine of $325 and six demerit points.
The police say they'll continue their enforcement to eliminate high-risk driving in the city.
