The Ontario Provincial Police have identified the victim of an April 13 crash near Wawa as a 35-year-old man from Rayside-Balfour.
On April 13, at around 4:40 a.m. officers with the Superior East Wawa OPP Detachment were called to the scene of the crash along with EMS and members of the Wawa Volunteer Fire Department.
The single-vehicle crash occurred Highway 17, seven kilometers south of Highway 519 at the Dubreuilville.
The deceased was the passenger in the vehicle. He’s been identified as Johnny Marcello Michelucci, 35. The 26-year-old male driver was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His name has not been released.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, OPP said.
