Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a call about a male flashing a handgun on Cedar Street last Thursday around 12:30 am.
Uniform officers attended and within moments apprehended a subject in possession of a BB gun.
The appearance, construction, weight, action and colour of the BB gun were identical to a real handgun.
The man has been charged with possession of a weapon (or imitation) for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and breach of probation.
