A fight between two brothers ended in one brother being taken to hospital Thursday evening.
Greater Sudbury Police Service responded to a report of youths fighting in the Melvin Street area.
When they arrived on the scene, they located a male youth who had been slashed in the back by a knife. A second male, the victim's brother, was located a short time later and arrested for aggravated assault and weapons dangerous. The injuries are non-life-threatening.
Both brothers had been drinking and the weapon was recovered.
Names are not being released because of the age of the accused and the relationship between the two.
The Criminal Investigations Unit of the Greater Sudbury Police is continuing the investigation into this matter.
