The Sudbury District Secondary Schools' Athletic Association
held a round of girls volleyball and boys basketball finals
championships on Feb. 21.
In girls volleyball, Notre-Dame defeated Lockerby in the midget
finals, while Macdonald Cartier took away the title in the
junior girls division two final, against Sacré Coeur. L'Horizon
won the championship in the senior girls division two final
against the Lively Hawks. In division one, Marymount's junior
team defeated Lo-Ellen, while Confederation walked away with
the championship title after defeating Lockerby.
In boys' basketball, Lasalle's midget team defeated Lockerby
36-35, while Bishop Carter's division two junior team won the
title after its victory over L'Horizon, with a final score of
56-35. Macdonald Cartier's senior team defeated Champlain
61-53. In division one, Lasalle's junior team was victorious
over Lockerby 51-35 and Notre-Dame's senior team defeated
Lo-Ellen 46-42.
