Andrea Benoit is this week's Female Athlete
of the Week. She is in her senior year at E.S.C. Champlain.
Andrea is a strong power hitter, plays great defense and is one
of the top servers for the Requins senior girls' volleyball
team.
Benoit has been active in other sports such
as baseball, cross-country running, basketball and is a member
of the track and field team. She plays for the Under-18 Les
Diables volleyball club team and has plans to attend Humber
College.
Austin Roy has excelled in athletics and is
this week's Male Athlete of the Week. A two-year starter for
the Northstars football team, he attained league all-star
status this year.
Roy also broke the NOSSA shot put record for
his age category last year finishing eighth at OFSAA.
As well, Roy participates in alpine skiing
and is the skip of the boys curling team.
