Busy schedule of games ahead for the Pack

Newest Wolves addition returns to his hometown Wednesday

The Sudbury Wolves have a busy week with three games scheduled starting Wednesday when the Pack visit the Soo Greyhounds and overage goaltender Mario Culina returns home to the Soo in a Wolves uniform. 

This weekend the Wolves return to action at home for back-to-back Wolves’ hockey action Friday night and Sunday afternoon.

The Wolves host Eastern Conference rivals, the Peterborough Petes on Friday at 7:05 p.m. and the the Western Conference Kitchener Rangers on Sunday at 2 p.m.

On Friday, the Wolves will host the Petes for the first time this season. The Petes’ roster features seven NHL prospects including Edmonton Oilers goaltender prospect Dylan Wells. Florida Panthers’ prospect Jonathan Ang leads the Petes offensively with 12 goals and 18 assists for 30 points in 24 games this season. 

Friday’s game is sponsored by Kelsey's Original Roadhouse who will be on hand with prizes and giveaways for lucky fans, including a lucky row of the period.

The Wolves return to action Sunday to host the Kitchener Rangers for their only visit this season. The Rangers line-up features five NHL prospects including Winnipeg Jets 2016 first round selection Logan Stanley, who is ranked 10th in OHL scoring among all defenceman as well as Florida Panthers prospect Adam Mascherin who leads the Rangers in scoring with 23 points in 23 games.

Sunday’s game is sponsored by Glencore, who has teamed up with the Sudbury Food Bank and will be out front of the arena collecting donations prior to the game. Stay in your seats and catch the Glencore Shoot-out and t-shirt toss during the first intermission.

Tickets are on-sale now at the Sudbury Arena Box Office and online at greatersudbury.ca/tickets. Fans are encouraged to skip the box office line and save time with Wolves Web Wednesday.

All day this Wednesday and every Wednesday, fans can purchase their tickets online and save the service fees.

Prior to this weekend’s home action, the Wolves will visit the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds on Wednesday at 7:07 p.m. for Game five of the Bell Challenge Cup. 

The Greyhounds currently lead the six-game series in points 6-4.
