The Sudbury Wolves and the Sudbury Five have partnered with Jumpstart for the upcoming Crossover Week games on Wednesday Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 21 when the Five host the St. John’s Edge and Wolves host the Saginaw Spirit respectively.

Both games are set to begin at 7:05pm.

The Wolves and Five will swap jerseys this week meaning that the Wolves will wear Five-themed jerseys, while the Five will wear Wolves-themed jerseys.

Proceeds from both jersey auctions will go towards supporting youth participation in minor sports through Jumpstart. The jerseys will be available for auction at the arena throughout both games, as well as select jerseys will be available online following the games here (auction.chl.ca/).

“Our organization is very excited to announce the details for this week’s crossover games,” said SWSE CEO Scott Lund. “Crossover week is a great opportunity for us to celebrate both franchises and it makes it even better when we can support Jumpstart here in Sudbury.”

Wednesday’s FIVE game is sponsored by KiSS 105.3 who will be on-hand with prizes and giveaways for lucky fans including one lucky fan will win a $100 gift card for Topper’s Pizza in the KiSS the Rim Contest. Wolves players will also be on-hand to participate in fun games with fans.

“This collaboration between JumpStart and SWSE for these games is great for both brands,” said Jumpstart Chapter Chair Todd Cochrane.

“Our Mission is ‘To enrich the lives of kids in need through sport and physical activity’ and sadly we know that thousands of families here in Sudbury are not in a financial position to give their kids those opportunities. 2020 is going to be a very important year for Jumpstart in this community as we work towards giving every kid the chance to play. By partnering with SWSE for fundraising opportunities such as this, the message that our kids need us to contribute where we can in the community strengthens. I invite you personally, to help us, help kids.”

Friday’s Wolves game is sponsored by Collège Boréal who will be on hand with tons of prizes and giveaways for lucky fans including five lucky fans will win $1,000 bursaries to College Boreal.

“Although our front office team works on both franchises throughout the year, we try to keep the brands separate and different,” said Miranda Swain-Boivin, SWSE Marketing Manager

“So this week is a unique opportunity for us to blend the experiences together while also supporting an organization that encourages youth participation in minor sports which is very important to our organization.”

Fans can purchase tickets to both games at the Sudbury Arena Box Office, online at GreaterSudbury.ca/tickets and at SudburyWolves.com.
