The Sudbury Five return to the underground for a double-header weekend this week.

On Friday, the team welcomes the London Lightning, while on Saturday the Pontiac Pharaohs.

Both games have a 7 p.m. tip-off.

“This past weekend performances saw Jalen Hayes record a double-double in both games,  scoring 23 points and grabbing 12 rebounds on Saturday, and 16 points and 11 rebounds on  Sunday,” the Five said in a news release. “Guard AJ Mosby Jr. had himself a performance on Sunday, scoring 29 points, grabbing eight rebounds, and three steals.”

Friday’s game is country night at Sudbury Arena, so fans are encouraged “to pull out their best cowboy boots, plaid shirts and belt buckles to win prizes.”

Saturday’s game is proudly sponsored by Northern Hockey Academy

“Fans can win great prizes by visiting their table in the lower lobby. Saturday’s game is also the hottest party in town as the club celebrates Five turning five this season.”

Single game tickets are on-sale now at the Sudbury Arena box office or online at GreaterSudbury.ca/tickets. Kids 10 and under receive admission for only $10 all season long.
