Former Lady Vee basketball star Dr. Susan Foy was killed earlier this month in an automobile accident in Florida.
Foy was a member of the Lady Vees ?back to back? national and provincial championship basketball team from 1988 to 1992.
Upon graduation from Laurentian, Foy continued her studies at the University of British Columbia, earning her dentistry degree in 1998.
From UBC, she went on to the University of Carolina at Chapel Hill to complete her oral and maxillofacial surgery training in June 2003.
Foy joined the oral surgery department as a clinical fellow at the University of Florida at Gainsville just a few days before her death. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm today at John Thomas Funeral Home in Alliston, Ont.
