The Walden Mountain Bike Club’s Wolfpak Racing Team continued it winning ways and extended the podium streak yet again at the Plastiglas Ontario Cup XC Series.

Racers ventured to the Mountain View Ski/Bike Centre in Midland on the weekend, where Dominic Girard claimed the top of the podium, while fellow Wolfpak member Eddie Skala stood beside him in second place in the Senior Expert 19-29 field.

Girard has returned to top form and is hot off his silver-medal performance at the National Mountain Bike Championships in Barrie last month.

Scott Phillips also finished fifth and Nicholas Tavchandjian was ninth. Alex Anstice made it two top-10 finishes after moving up to the Master 30-39 Expert male division by finishing fifth.

In the Senior Elite event, Alex Schmidt placed 17th.

The Wolfpak will wind up the Plastiglas Ontario Cup XC Series schedule on Horseshoe Valley at the Provincial MTB Championships on Sept. 21.
