College Boreal massage therapy students will get some Â?hands on experienceÂ? this upcoming Monday as they visit the Ontario National Training Centre.

A dozen students will visit the training centre between 5:30 and 8:30 pm to work on the ONTCÂ?s competing boxers, who are preparing for the provincial boxing championships starting Oct. 24.

ONTCÂ?s registered massage therapist, Daryl Foreshew, of the Sudbury Natural Therapy Clinic, considers this a great opportunity for the College Boreal students.

Â?This will definitely be a great practical learning experience for the students,Â? said Foreshew. Â?TheyÂ?ll get to come in and work on some of the provinceÂ?s elite amateur athletes. Having exposure to high-calibre athletes like these is some of the best exposure they can get to athletic massage therapy.Â?

The session will go towards the required clinic hours needed for the students to successfully complete their studies in massage therapy at the college.
