Beginning July 25, the No Frills Hockey
School, led by professional instructors, will once again be
hosting one-week and two-week sessions for players of all ages
and skill levels.
For beginners, between the ages of four and
six, the No Frills Mini-Mite Hockey School program will teach
the basics of hockey such as balance, skating, puck carrying,
scoring, passing and shooting. The sessions run from July 25 to
29, and Aug. 1-5 from 5 to 6 pm at Countryside Arena.
For the more experienced players, No Frills
offers players, aged seven to 12, sessions of various drills to
further develop skills in power skating, stick handling,
passing, shooting, checking, scoring, offensive, defensive and
team play.
These sessions will take place at Countryside
Arena, July 25 to 29 and Aug. 1 to 5, from 6 to 8:30 pm.
For more advanced players, aged 13 to 18, and
more who have played at least AA level or higher, No Frills has
them covered as well with their intensive program which will
include high performance drills to condition the player for
more physical and mental aspects of the game. These sessions
run from July 25 to 29 and Aug. 1 to 5, from 8:30 to 9:30
pm.
