The Northern Horsemen's Association (NHA)
has rejected the latest offer served up by Sudbury Downs by a
membership vote of 99 to 2.
NHA members were to vote on the latest
contract proposal by Sudbury Downs, submitted late last
week.
A NHA press release stated the contract
received by the NHA on Friday, May 27 couldn't be accepted
because it varied from the verbal agreement reached last
Tuesday, May 24.
An information picket line will remain in
effect at Sudbury Downs.
There has yet to be any live racing at
Sudbury Downs this year.
NHA members have been without a contract
since the end of the 2004 season.
