Sudbury's Jeff Buttle, recently crowned Canadian men's figure skating champion, will be coming home March 5 to perform in the cast of the Kleenex Celebration on Ice in Sudbury.

The show, which will also be presented at North Bay's Memorial Gardens on March 4, takes place right before Buttle represents Canada at the World Figure Skating Championships in Moscow.

The inclusion of Buttle brings the number of Canadian champions in the show's cast to an impressive six, with four of them, Kurt Browning, Elvis Stojko, Brian Orser and Shae-Lynn Bourne, also being former world champions.

"By the first week of March, I'll be ready for Moscow," said Buttle. "The opportunity to perform in front of two enthusiastic crowds with so many great Canadian skaters right before the Worlds will hopefully give me a little extra edge."
